Hi! I’m Mary Miracle. I’m a journalist covering the music scene in and around Pittsburgh, PA. I’m a local with over 10 years of professional writing experience. I’m a frequent concertgoer, who prioritizes my love of live music. It builds a community and energy like nothing else I’ve seen.

I’m passionate about introducing my audience to amazing Pittsburgh bands. Much of what you read on Pitt Music Live focuses on local talent.

I started attending concerts when I was 10 years old with my parents. As a teen, I started choosing my own shows.

I started writing online content with a focus on pop culture in 2009. This was my main focus for many years.

For a while, I shifted focus to my education. I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During my time at Cal U, I was secretary of the Art Club, leading many events.

Another enriching experience was when I completed an internship working in Disney World as a photographer and merchantainer.

Recently, I had a couple of health scares that made me realize that I need to get back to creating, which is my first love. I’m currently earning my Master of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University.

My stories on Pitt Music Live include show coverage, interviews with bands, album reviews, and a look at local businesses that support Pittsburgh’s music scene.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family, reading, or practicing yoga. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2019.

I’d love to connect with you on social media. You can also contact me using this form.
