Heavy metal is brought to life like an utterly epic monstrosity in Uniontown, thanks to one new venue, GoGamer. GoGamer is an electronics and gaming store in the Uniontown Mall in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Marius Jones is the owner and host of this new series of metal shows.
On Sunday, August 27, 2023, GoGamer hosted a fantastic event called a Night of Magic and Metal. If you are local to the area and want to see some absolute heavy music, then this is the place for you. The community is rich, and the energy is nothing short of extremely intoxicating. Not only do you feel welcome when you show up, it does not take long to feel like you’ve known the crowd your whole life.
The music was top-notch. First up is The Cult Ov Crowley. The band’s acoustics echoed throughout the whole venue. When their music thundered in, you could feel it in your whole body. It was heavy, it was powerful, and it was just an absolute 10/10. Would see the Pikachu mask again!
Scare Tape was the band that followed, and it was dangerous. When I say dangerous, I mean that literally. If you have a camera, you should not go near a mosh pit! And Scare Tape’s mosh pit was only matched in intensity by their music tenfold. The music was violent and great. I can’t wait to get a chance to see them again.
The venue is a magical place, just bloody and magical. It isn’t like any other venue I have ever been to. The crowd was special, and the ambiance was righteous. Before the bands even play, you have a chance to just hang out, play video games, and get to know each other. There is sincerely something special about that.
On Sunday, October 29, 2023, GoGamer is hosting A Night of Magic and Metal Halloween Edition. Uzkost and Dysregulator will perform. The event is pay what you can, with a suggested donation of $10. Costumes are welcome.
This will be my third time showing up! If you have the time, I suggest you come by for a Night of Magic and Metal. If this sounds like something you want to do, I suggest you don’t miss it.
